Description
The York S1-VLV-013B-B15 1-Ton thermal expansion valve (TXV) is a precision component which is used to control the flow of the refrigerant in air conditioning and HVAC systems. It works through thermal expansion which involves controlling flow of refrigerant by a sensing bulb that in turn gives its response with the changes in the evaporator temperature. A rise in the evaporator temperature leads to pressure in sensing bulb rising and consequently the TXV reduces the refrigerant flow. On the other hand, as the evaporator temperature goes low to pressure in the sensing bulb goes low allowing for more or high rate of flow of refrigerant.
