The York S1-DP240240 40A 2-Pole Contactor 240V is an electromechanical switch that is used in controlling circuits with high current key parts of diverse HVAC systems that comprise chillers, air-handling units, and rooftop units among others. This contactor is designed for use with a 240V AC supply and can switch a maximum current of 40 Amps between its two poles. In other words, it works as a switch that can be controlled from a distance and is designed to safely manage high-power electrical loads. In energized condition, the electromagnetic coil of the contactor attracts several contacts making the connection between the load circuit and the power source.
