Description
The York S1-02544172000 Thermal Expansion Valve is used in air conditioning operation to the flow liquid refrigerant into the evaporator coil, depending on the temperature and pressure readings at the outlet of the evaporator in HVAC systems. It has 3/8″ by 5/8″ ODF connections with a 90 PSI rating, connecting it to the refrigerant liquid line and evaporator inlet which allows controlled refrigerant as it enters the evaporator. It assists in ensuring stable cooling cycles, and equal heat absorption. It reacts to the internal valve opening to allow a balanced flow of refrigerant.
