The York S1-02538906000 Thermo Expansion Valve (TXV) 3/8″ ODM is a refrigerant metering component, used to control the flow of refrigerant into the evaporator coil according to the cooling load in HVAC systems. It links the liquid line and the evaporator inlet in the middle of the system fittings of 3/8″ outside diameter. It fits in compatible air conditioners or heat pumps. It detects the liquid line pressure and superheat in the evaporator to adjust the flow of refrigerant accordingly. This assembly balances the refrigerant delivery, ensuring efficient cooling in the normal operation of the assembly.
