The York S1-025-41060-000 Thermal Expansion Valve is an essentialelement of heating and cooling systems designed to serve evaporator coils. Specifically, the valve used here is an ODF type with 3/8” intake and output connection to firmly control the refrigerant to pass through the evaporator. Proportional to temperature, the valve acts as a sensing means for the temperature of the evaporator and adjusts refrigerant flow. This helps to exclude liquid refrigerant flow through the compressor and ensure the maximum cooling capacity which does not affect the system. In this way, it increases equipment life, improves system performance and efficiency while keeping the composition of the refrigerant, low.
