Description
The York S1-025-17620-017 High Pressure Switch Controller 380/300 PSI is a refrigerant-side safety switch that monitors discharge pressure within the refrigeration circuit and opens the control contact when pressure climbs to the cutout point, shutting down the compressor to prevent damage from an over-pressurized system. It remains open until pressure drops to the reset threshold, at which point the circuit closes and allows the compressor to restart under normal operating conditions. Within HVAC systems, this switch mounts on the high side of the refrigerant circuit near the compressor discharge port, protecting the compressor and condenser from pressure.
