Description
The York S1-02435275000 Fall SPNO Air Pressure Switch is a safety instrument used to prevent HVAC equipment from operating under low air pressure. It is based on the mechanistic sensitivity to a decrease in the pressure of the air inside the system. When the pressure drops to the set limit (-0.20/-0.35 inHg) the switch sounds an alarm or turns off the equipment to avoid getting damaged. This switch is normally found in many HVAC applications such as chillers, cooling towers, and air handling units. From this, it can protect equipment from possible harm due to low airflow that may lead to compressor damage, motor burnout, and a decrease in system performance.
