Description
The Xylem-Hoffman Specialty 401902 Ft075X is a 2-inch F&T trap designed for use in low, medium, and high-pressure steam systems. It is a float and thermostatic trap, which means that in order to extract condensate from steam lines without allowing steam to escape, it combines a float mechanism with a bimetallic thermostat. The trap has a maximum operating pressure of 75 psi and is constructed of cast iron. It is usually inserted into drain lines in front of pumps, coils, and other machinery to guard against corrosion and blockages brought on by condensate accumulation.
