Description
The Xylem-Bell & Gossett 116303 ASME Pressure Expansion Tank is used to allow thermal expansion of water in closed-loop hydronic systems during a heating or cooling cycle. The D-100 water tank has a capacity of 60 gallons and absorbs extra water volume as the system temperature increases, keeping the pressure constant in the piping circuit. Water flows to the tank and presses the internal air, which enables the system to contain expansion, without excessive pressure build-up. It is used in hydronic elements to hold the boilers, chillers, and circulation equipment.
