The Watts 0388798 Regulator & Relief Valve is a dual valve that is an essential part of HVAC systems used to regulate and safeguard a fluid system by regulating pressure. As a regulator, it automatically decreases inlet pressure to a constant, lower outlet pressure to suit the safe and efficient working of downstream equipment. It is done through an internal working, which is normally a spring loaded diaphragm or piston type that is sensitive to pressure. When the outlet pressure surges, then the valve dancers that are used decrease the flow rate and slows down the pressure.
