Description
The Watts 0277010 Pressure Relief Valve is a 1-1/2 inch valve rated at 150 PSI with a capacity of 7,630,000 BTU, built to release excess pressure within HVAC systems, and protect boiler equipment from unsafe conditions. It works by means of a spring-loaded system opening automatically when pressure surpasses the preset threshold and closing when pressure has returned to normal. It is attached to threaded piping to ensure that it is properly discharged, and connected along the boiler or hot water line. Having a bronze body and stable seating design, it assists in avoiding pressure accumulation, secure operation and stable system operation.
