Description
The Watts 0063231 is a 3/4” Bronze Double Check Valve BFP belonging to the 007M3QT model. This is an essential part of HVAC systems that protects against the possibly catastrophic consequences of backflow. Backflow in turn takes place when the usual flow of fluids in the system is either back washed, or reversed putting waste water into the clean water system. This double check valve is used in a unique mechanism with two independent check discs which are integrated. In normal conditions, both discs are designed to permit free flow in the forward direction. However, if backflow condition occurs, for example, a decrease in system pressure, both discs immediately close to create a backflow preventer.
