Description
The Utica-Dunkirk 240013044 Pressure Switch monitors draft and combustion air temperature in gas-fired hotwater boilers, including XEB-series induced models. It opens or closes an electrical circuit based on the sensors in the flue or vent system, confirming that the induced blower is operating correctly before allowing the main to ignite. The switch is mounted on or near the boiler’s blower assembly, with a small tube connecting it to the vent passage so it can respond to pressure changes. In service, it supports preventing unsafe operation by interrupting the circuit if adequate heat is not detected, supporting safe performance in HVAC systems.
