Description
The Trane VAL8706 thermal expansion valve measures approximately 4.5” long and is designed for use in balanced flow which will provide the arterial deliof the evaporator coil. It works as an automatic ruler, which regulates R-22 refrigerant flow depending on the temperature in the evaporator. This is accomplished by the thermal actuator in the TXV expanding or shrinking in response to temperature changes. This action adjusts a brass seat valve to accurately control the refrigerant flow. The improved flow can absorb heat from the air efficiently, reducing the evaporator coil, which can adversely affect system performance.
