Description
The Trane VAL19777 Thermal Expansion Valve (TXV) is used with R-22 refrigerant. It has a cooling capacity of 7.5 ton and has a connection size of 1/2 x 7/8 inches. The TXV contains a 30 inch long capillary tube. TXVs control amount of refrigerant that enters the evaporator depending on the cooling load to improve performance and energy efficiency in different HVAC systems, including chillers, air conditioners, and heat pumps. Advantages of using a TXV include increased system efficiency, low energy use and better temperature regulation.
