Description
The Trane VAL09596 Expansion Valve meters refrigerant entering the evaporator and adjust the passage as operating conditions change. Its 6-ton capacity rating correspond to the intended cooling application while the 3/8-inch ODF inlet, and 1/2-inch ODF outlet provide the specified refrigerant pipe connections. Designed for R410A refrigerant the valve mount at the entrance of the evaporator and controls the refrigerant feed into the heat-transfer section. HVAC systems use this metering arrangement to regulate refrigerant movement through the cooling circuit as operating conditions vary. The adjustable passage keeps refrigerant delivery matched to the evaporator during the cooling cycle.
