Description
The Trane VAL06375 Thermal Expansion Valve (TXV) meters liquid R-22 refrigerant entering compatible 1-ton evaporator coils. Its sensing element respond to temperature at the evaporator outlet and adjusts the internal orifice to regulate the amount of refrigerant passing into the coil. The valve install at the evaporator inlet, with the sensing bulb positioned on the suction line for proper thermal response. In HVAC systems, this expansion valve control refrigerant expansion before the evaporator, and maintains the required superheat during the cooling cycle. Controlled metering balance refrigerant supply with evaporator conditions, reducing the possibility of liquid refrigerant reaching the compressor while maintaining consistent heat transfer as operating load changes.
