Description
The Trane SWT4132 Pressure Switch responds to negative air pressure conditions within the system to verify proper draft and airflow before allowing burner or combustion operation. Its diaphragm-based sensing mechanism opens or closes an electrical circuit when vacuum pressure reaches approximately -1.50 inches of water column, ensuring safe inducer fan and combustion sequencing in HVAC systems of draft-inducing heating and vented combustion units. Mounted in the air pressure sensing line connected to the inducer assembly, where airflow verification is required for safe ignition. Its precise pressure response improves system safety control and prevents unsafe startup conditions.
