Description
The Trane SWT1432 safety switch 3.4″ long helps to prevent overheating and other hazards for HVAC system. It is a blocked vent switch with a red dot indication for easy identification and works as a device. For furnaces with 1 to 4 million BTU per hour capacity, it is designed for easy installation with a two-wire connector. Its temperature rating of 240°F is the primary safety feature. The Trane is a safety switch, and if the airflow through the furnace vent becomes blocked and the temperature around the switch gets to this level, the Trane opens the 240VAC, 25A circuit. It stops the furnace’s power so it doesn’t overheat and also possibly damage the furnace or burn it out.
