Description
The Trane SWT1390 is a small but powerful safety switch that is light and has a length of 3.5 inches. A small safeguard inside your Trane air conditioning and heating system that constantly checks the temperature in case it rises too high. Compared to thermostats which simply adjust comfort levels, this is a Switch that turns the system off in dangerous conditions. This two-pole, manual reset switch is operated internally by some mechanisms to cut off the electrical circuit on attainment of a certain temperature. For the Trane, the maximum allowable temperature is set at 160°F (71°C). Switching at this point, the shutdown prevents your equipment from getting damaged due to excessive heat production.
