Description
The Trane SWT04530 is of Reverse Flow Switch type and is a safety switch designed and manufactured for use in Trane HVAC equipment only. On this basis, it is also called a reverse flow switch because it records the directions of airflow in the system. Air generally has a flow in a particular direction. The recognizes this shift if airflow reverses as a result of such issues as a blocked filter or a damaged fan. It is used to switch on at 130°F and switch off at 120°F. When this opening occurs, the machinery closes to prevent further use due to overheating and incorrect operation.
