Description
The Trane SEN1342 Averaging Sensor is designed to measure the temperature over a large space by taking numerous readings along its 24-foot length and averaging them into a single output signal. It works by detecting the temperature changes along the cable and averaging the data to smooth out local variations so that it can be used to monitor the HVAC systems like air handlers, and duct systems where the temperature must be uniformly controlled. It is mounted in ducts, or large air distribution sections and is connected to control units to provide continuous feedback.
