Description
The Trane RLY2536 is a Compact Relay designed for use in any Trane HVAC equipment. It is a Single Pole Single Throw relay, which operates a single circuit and has only an on/off switch. It stands approximately 2.9 inches high and 1.4 inches wide. What this means is that the circuit is not active while in its normally open state. Current can pass through the regulated circuit when the 24-volt coil activates the relay in the presence of an electrical signal. The operating current of this relay is controlled by the 56-ohm coil resistance of the particular model. This relay is useful in this respect because it provides consistent on/off control for certain circuits.
