Description
The Trane RLY1678 is a current-sensing relay that protects electrical circuits inside HVAC equipment. It records the amount of electrical current that goes through a circuit usually between 1 and 135 amps. Like switches, relays turn off electricity when a preset threshold is exceeded by current. This is an essentialsafety mechanism to avoid overheating and possible damage to expensive HVAC parts like motors and compressors. The Trane will work reliably in temperatures from 5 to 140°F for solid core attachment in HVAC equipment. Its small size 4.8 x 4.4 x 2.3″ make it simple to integrate into a wide range of HVAC units.
