The Trane PAN4045 Vertical Drain Pan is designed for the vertical application in HVAC systems, especially in air conditioners. This pan which has a length of 29” and functions as a drip tray to catch condensate water that forms during its use. During the formation of cool air within the Air Conditioner, moisture on the evaporation coil falls off as drip. The Trane PAN4045 takes this condensation and drains it to a specific line thus ensuring that water is not accumulated and cause damage to your home or building. In layman’s terms, it is like a catching tray which has been placed at the right position so that the water can drain properly within the HVAC system.
