Description
The Trane ORF1342 Orifice Spud is a small part that is necessary for Trane natural gas furnaces. This spud is rather small in size, it is 13.5” long however, it is of importance as it controls the flow of natural gas entering the burner assembly. It works as a fine nozzle of a specific size; the size of the nozzle in this particular case is 3.3 mm. This controlled gas flow makes it possible to achieve the better results in combustion for efficient and safe heating. In the absence of an orifice spud, there may be high pressure or low pressure which in turn would cause inefficient burning of the gas and other risks of safety.
