The Trane MOT18983 is a highly efficient 1/8 horsepower motor that is used in several Trane HVAC systems. This single-phase motor is 277 volts and it can produce a maximum RPM of 1200. The most essentialaspect. that it has three modes of operation, which can be controlled within the HVAC system. This adjustability may enhance comfort and, possibly, yield energy savings. The motor has only one shaft which rotates in the Clock Wise (CW) and Anti-Clock Wise (ACW) directions depending upon the operation mode. This has a torque of 12.2 ounce-feet at 277 volts; thus, it delivers enough power to drive necessary components in the HVAC system.
