Description
The Trane MOT18831 is a single-phase capacitor-start induction motor which is used inHVAC equipment. Induction motors make use of a rotating magnetic field which generates an electric current within the rotor cage to thereby develop a torque which causes the motor to commence rotation. Motors used in HVAC applications are particularly suitable for this type of application because they are stable, long-lived, and uncomplicated in construction. The Trane works with the voltage between 208 and 230 volts and has the output power of one third horsepower. It operates at a RPM of 1075 at a frequency of 60 Hz. This type of belly mounting enables one to fix it inside compatible HVAC units often direct-drive blowers or fan assemblies.
