The Trane MOT12619 is a Electronically Commutated Motor intended for use in HVAC systems to meet higher efficiency. Different from other AC motors, the functioning of an ECM is regulated by electronic means as regards to the airflow. ECMs are generally more energy efficient than AC motors by as much as 50%. This means less costs in the future. It is ended for 115/230 volt single phase HVAC systems. It has a half horsepower and rotates in a clockwise direction. ECMs are comparatively easier in construction with fewer parts to wear out than AC motors and therefore, they are easier to maintain.
