The Trane MOT11976 is a variable capacity electronically controlled motor intended for furnace blower operation. ECM motors are different from basic single-speed motors in that the speed of the motor is controlled electronically. This enables the furnace to control the air circulating inside it depending with requirements provided by heating or cooling. Through the variation of power provided to the rotor, the inverter can control the airflow from low for use during low weather conditions to high for use during high weather conditions. This Trane motor is constructed for reliability with ball bearing and 48 frame size, providing both the strength and size.
