Description
The Trane MOD0024 is an economizer control, a part of air handling units meant for commercial facilities. Economizer controls also help to control the amount of fresh air that is introduced into the building to help save energy. In colder seasons, the MOD0024 can bypass the air conditioning system and allow fresh air for cooling purposes during the cooler seasons. This in turn relieves the compressor load which translates to substantial energy savings. The control operates through the comparison of outdoor air temperature with the return air temperature of the building.
