Description
The Trane LAT00051 Door Latch secures outer access doors and service panels against the equipment enclosure. Mounted along the cabinet perimeter, its spring-tensioned or lever-operated mechanism draws the panel against the internal frame gasket and keeps the access opening closed. HVAC systems use this type of latch to maintain the cabinet enclosure around internal airflow passages. The tight closure reduces air movement through panel joints while still allowing the door or service panel to be opened for access. Its mechanical action keeps the panel seated against the frame during normal equipment operation.
