Description
The Trane IGN00267 Ignitor is to initiate burner combustion in gas-fired heating equipment. The ignitor element produces high heat when electrical current is passed through the ignitor element which in turn stimulates the gas-air mixture in the burner assembly when the heating cycle in the HVAC systems is initiated. The ignitor is linked to the ignition control circuit by an integrated 53-inch lead wire so that it can be easily routed between the control board and the burner section. It is located close to the burner ports in the combustion chamber and it acts as the source of ignition needed to start the burner flames when the system is in operation.
