Description
The Trane HTR15357 is a Crankcase Heater with a 70W, 230V electrical heating element used in refrigeration and air conditioning systems to keep the crankcase of the compressor from refrigerant oil from gelling or becoming viscous. This is essential in cold climates or during low activity thick oil interferes with correct lubrication and affects the compressor. The heater holds the oil to a proper temperature, for the compressor to work smoothly, and reduces the frequency of failures. It is intended for application with different types of HVAC system like chillers, and split systems. The reducing thickened oil within the crankcase increases the efficiency of the lubrication system dilutes energy wastage, and ultimately is instrumental in avoiding expensive repairs.
