Description
The Trane HTR15190 is a Crankcase Heater of 70 watt, 480 volt that helps protect compressor crankcase oil in Trane heating and cooling systems. This band-shaped heater is 9” long, 8” wide and has a diameter of 7.5” which makes it easy to slide around the crank case of the compressor like a belly band. The heating wire is 15.5” long, and when combined with the rest of the heating element, the total length of the device is 27.4”. Manufactured using UL safety standards, the generates heat during compressor downtimes. This ensures that crankcase oil temperature remains slightly above freezing point thus avoiding refrigerant from freezing and diluting the oil.
