Description
Trane HTR12002 is a 40 watt, 575-volt crankcase heater used in compressors and other HVAC that has been designed to address issues of moisture and ice. It is known an electrical resistance heater, and it is the electricity that provides heat. This enhances cold starts in cold climates and prevents strain on all components and also ensures that the oil in the crankcase is warm at all times. Installation of heaters of this type is common on gear boxes, compressors and other components of HVAC systems which uses oil for lubrication.
