Description
The Trane GLS0830 is a 5.2” long sight glass that is used on refrigerant lines in HVAC systems. It has a connection size of 5/8 inches and a maximum pressure of 650 PSI. This transparent part enables the technician to observe the refrigerant for moisture content. This moisture causes the system to be less efficient, freeze and also corrode the system due to the moisture in the refrigerant. Through the sight glass one is also capable to check the flow of refrigerant charges and bubbles or cloudiness are sign of moisture. It is possible to attend to the issues before they appear.
