Description
The Trane CTR2763 is an electrical 3-pole contactor that is suitable to be applied in different HVAC applications equipment. It works like a light switch that turns on and off high currents to components like compressors or motors among others. On the auxiliary control circuit, the contractor receives a low-voltage signal which is 24 volts in this case. This leads to the opening or closing of the internal contact of the contactor and a high current of up to 60 FLA flows through the main circuit to the equipment connected. The contactor disconnects the low-current control circuit from the high-current main circuit thus reducing the chances of electrical accidents. Self-cleaning silver cadmium oxide alloy contacts and aluminum lugs make the contactors corrosion and wear-resistant, making them long-lasting.
