The Trane COM9868 is a Compressor hermetic, positive displacement compressor designed for commercial and industrial refrigeration and air conditioning or heat pump applications. It functions by having a motor drive pistons or blades within a hermetically sealed environment. This in turn causes pressure variations that compress and circulate refrigerant gas in the system. The R-410A refrigerant circulates inside the building where it takes heat and then expels it outside.
