The Trane COM6218 Compressor is a robust compressor for large-scale cooling in commercial or industrial applications but comes with R-22 refrigerant. This Trane compressor is not a piston type of compressor but a scroll type of compressor that is efficient in operation. Within the enclosed casing, two helically wound scrolls work like a pump to compress the gas. This design translates to a 2.8-ton capacity (approximately 33,600 BTUH) which makes it suitable for handling moderate to heavy cooling loads within your space. Brazed joints provide leak-proof refrigerant flow because of their secure connections.
