Description
The Trane COM13125 Scroll Compressor is a robust compressor for moderate cooling loads in commercial and industrial applications but uses R-22 refrigerant. A large, independent, hermetic structure usually painted black, made of cast iron. This Trane compressor does not use the piston method of compression but a scroll one for its operation. In the enclosed casing, two helically wound scrolls act as a pump, compressing refrigerant gas. This design corresponds to a 2.33-ton capacity (approximately 27,960 BTUH), which is suitable for addressing cooling needs in medium-sized areas.
