Description
The Trane COM10801 Compressor is one of the heavy-hitting models targeted for moderate cooling loads in applications with natural, R-410A refrigerant. A strong and compact (hermetic) case made of cast iron. This Trane compressor is not a conventional piston compressor but a scroll compressor for efficient operation. Two scrolls interlock inside the sealed housing and work like a pump to compress the refrigerant gas at a moderate speed. This design corresponds to a 4-ton capacity (49,100 BTUH) which is perfect for handling cooling loads effectively. Brazed stub tubes are used to ensure leakproof circulation of refrigerant with a discharge size of ½”.
