Description
The Trane COM10050 Compressor is a heavy-duty compressor that is suitable for cooling medium-sized commercial buildings. Unlike piston compressors, this particular model from Trane uses a scroll for its operations to be as efficient as possible. In the sealed housing, two intertwined scrolls act as a fast-pumping mechanism that compresses the refrigerant gas. This design corresponds to a 3-ton (approximately 36,000 BTUH) that is suitable for managing moderate cooling loads in structures. The Trane COM10050 operates with R-410A refrigerant which is safer for the environment than some of the previous models.
