Description
The Trane BAYCCHT301RES is a Crankcase Heater and is an integral component meant for the crankcase of the compressor during periods when it is not operating. This heater kit is designed for a split system heat pump and measures 9.5” L, 10.5” W, 2” H with scroll compressor diameter between 6.5”-7.5” compatible with 230VAC 60W. This heater is also useful in keeping the temperature of the compressor constant and thus protects it from damage due to the movement of refrigerant and subsequent formation of liquid slug on startup. The compressor improves all-around HVAC system dependability and, it is beneficial to HVAC technicians as well as consumers.
