Description
The Trane ACT0697 is a spring return actuator and is used to control airflow in HVAC systems by means of dampers. It uses a spring system to retract the damper to a specific position when no electrical signal is being received. This type of actuator is suitable for fail-safe applications where the damper must either close or open when power is lost. The Trane ACT0697 is powered by a 24V DC and communicates through a 2-10V DC control signal. The position of the damper connected to the actuator is changed by varying the voltage between 2 and 10 volts. This makes it possible to have a proper control of the air flow in the total HVAC system.
