The Trane 2AYTXVH3H1836A is a Field-Mounted Thermal Expansion Valve for new installations and is meant for older R-22 refrigerant-based HVAC systems that are no longer manufactured because of environmental issues. This valve is slightly over a foot long 12” and is essential for enhancing system efficiency and protecting the compressor in places of business. Here, it provides a superb cooling capability by prudently controlling the amount of R-22 refrigerant into the coil. This TXV has a maximum nominal capacity of 36 000 BTU which is suitable for commercial HVAC applications.
