Description
The Tecumseh K90-164 Overload protects compressor motors from excessive current draw and overheating by interrupting electrical operation when unsafe load conditions occur. Its thermal overload mechanism reacts to elevated temperature or amperage levels and automatically opens the circuit to prevent motor winding damage within HVAC systems such as refrigeration compressors, cold storage equipment, and beverage cooling units. This overload sensor is connected directly to compatible compressor terminals where continuous electrical protection is required during startup and running conditions. Its responsive protection reduces the risk of compressor failure and limits electrical stress on motor internals.
