Description
The Tecumseh AK170AR-B37-J7 is a commercial refrigeration compressor intended for use in large-scale refrigeration systems such as supermarkets, restaurants, and convenience stores. Through the circulation of refrigerant, this 115-volt, single-phase compressor is essential to the cooling operation of the system. An electric motor in the compressor is used to compress the refrigerant gas. The refrigerant’s temperature and pressure are greatly raised by this compression. The heated, high-pressure gas condenses into a liquid after it reaches the condenser coil and releases heat into the surrounding air. An expansion valve reduces the temperature and pressure of the high-pressure liquid refrigerant once it has cooled. Within the evaporator coil, this action causes the refrigerant to evaporate, or transform into gas.
