Description
The Tecumseh AE1182E-208-J7 is a single-phase, 115-volt compressor with a cooling capacity of 2650 BTU. This compressor can be used in a variety of refrigeration applications because it uses mixes of R404A or R507 refrigerant. It compresses refrigerant gas into a heated, high-pressure condition, acting as the refrigeration system’s heart. After passing through the condenser coils, the compressed gas releases heat and condenses into a liquid. Once it has cooled, the expansion valve allows the liquid refrigerant to lose heat and pressure. Ultimately, cooling results from the cold liquid refrigerant flowing through the evaporator coils and absorbing ambient heat. Commonly found in freezers, ice makers, and beverage coolers in both commercial and domestic refrigeration.
