The Taco Z050T2-3 is a 2-way, normally closed zone valve designed for hydronic heating and cooling systems. In simpler terms, it’s an electronically controlled switch that regulates hot or chilled water flow within a specific zone. Normally closed means the valve stays shut when no power is applied, and opens to allow water flow when energized. Made of durable materials, it can handle pressures up to 300 psi and temperatures up to 220°F. This valve operates on a low voltage of 24V and and and standard electrical frequency of 60Hz.Zone valves are conjunction with thermostats or other control systems to deliver efficient heating or cooling only to the areas demanding it.
